Into Volt Time Cloud

Transfer your charger to the Volt Time Cloud

Source 2 chargers can be added into the Volt Time Cloud directly from the box. For older Source chargers, a small configuration is required to enable Cloud and App functionality.

Follow all of the steps below to configure your Source charger for Volt Time Cloud.

Get Started

To transfer your charger into the Volt Time Cloud or to use the Volt Time App, follow the simple 4 steps below in just 2 minutes.

Transferring chargers is currently only possible for chargers not connected to automatic invoicing backoffices such as E-Flux or Last Mile Solutions.

1. Logging in (Ethernet/WiFi)

In order to log into a charger equipped with a WiFi or Ethernet connection, you will have to connect to the charger through your network.

For chargers on a SIM connection to a backoffice system, your charger will have to be manually transferred (Support for backoffices coming soon). For a charger connected to a backoffice, please visit the Transfer Proxy page.

You will need:

A device with WiFi or ethernet connectivity (Smartphone, Tablet, Laptop or computer) connected to the same network as the charger.

Download an IP Scanner

Scan the network for devices

Your device has to be connected to the same network as the charger.
Search for "_evse._tcp."
The hostname is "source-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

Log in

Copy the IP address and paste this into your browser's URL bar.

- The IP address is "192.168.x.xxx"
- Remove the port (":80" or ":443").
Log in with the "Installer" details printed on the sticker.

Your device might warn you that this network isn't private. Through "Advanced" or "More Details", you can accept this warning.

Continue with Step 2.

1. Logging in (SIM)

For chargers on a backoffice system, your charger will have to be manually transferred (Support for backoffices coming soon). For a charger connected to a backoffice, please visit the Transfer Proxy page.

You will need

A device with WiFi
- Smartphone/Tablet
  or Laptop

Switch the charging station off

In your fuse box you'll find a switch for the charger.
Switch this off and then back on again.

Wait

The LED on the front of the charger will shine white/pink.
Wait until this colour changes.

Connect your device to the WiFi network

Stand in close proximity of the charger.
On the sticker you'll find the network and password. This network does not have any internet.

Log in

On your device, navigate to the website: 10.10.0.1
Log in with the "Installer" details on the sticker.

Your device will notify you that the network isn't private. Continue to the website by pressing "Advanced" or "More Details".

Continue with Step 2.

2. Go to CSMS tab

4. Go to Transaction tab

The local whitelist will be canceled.

Disable whitelist:

Scroll all the way down

Select 'Disable' in the Control field

With the Volt Time App you can whitelist cards again.

Caution: This is a required step. Without this step, the charger will not function.

Was "Plug & Charger" enabled during installation, and is there a standard card-ID in use? Make sure the card in question is added through the App.

You're all done! The charger is now configured for the Volt Time Cloud.
