From a Spark to
Powering the Future
Every great journey begins with a single step. Ours began with a simple belief: EV charging should work for everyone.
A Vision is Born
Three friends working in the EV charging industry since 2014 had seen enough. Fed up with unreliable hardware, lacking software, and above all — terrible support from manufacturers — they decided to do something about it. The vision was clear: build chargers and software that actually work, backed by support that actually cares.

Development Begins
With years of hands-on experience, development of our first charger began in earnest. Every design decision was informed by real-world installation challenges. Certification processes started, partnerships formed, and the foundation was laid for what would become Volt Time.
Source Launches
Our first charger "Source" launched — and it was a hit. Produced in Arnhem by a social workplace, it combined Dutch quality with social responsibility. Installers immediately noticed the difference: a charger designed by people who understood their daily challenges.

Source 2 & Cloud
We launched Source 2 with major improvements for installers, along with our software platform — then simply called "Volt Time Cloud". The combination of reliable hardware and intuitive software set us apart. Partners started to see what we'd envisioned all along: charging that just works.
Scaling Up
We moved production to VDL Assembly in Weert, scaling our manufacturing capabilities. Source 2s launched as an improvement, and at the end of the year, we introduced One — a charger that would become our bestseller. The growth was real, and we were ready.
Amsterdam & Beyond
We moved to our new Amsterdam office to accommodate our growing team. Logistics were outsourced to handle the demand. The One charger became a massive success, and we started development on One Pro and Two Pro. "Volt Time Cloud" was rebranded "Plugchoice" — the number one launching pad for EV charging operations.

The Roadmap
Our roadmap is clear: launch One Pro and Two Pro while maintaining our position as the industry leader in support and software. We've proven that putting people first works. Now we're scaling that philosophy across Europe and beyond.
