Volt Time Two Pro is now available for scalable parking installations

A dual-socket wallbox built for installers and wholesalers. 44 kW inlet, 2 x 22 kW Type 2 sockets, MID Class B meters per socket, daisy-chainable, AFIR-ready, pre-paired to Plugchoice.

We've launched the Volt Time Two Pro: a dual-socket, wall-mounted charger built for installers and wholesalers working on professional parking infrastructure. Two Pro is now available across Europe โ€” directly through Volt Time and through selected wholesale partners โ€” and it slots into the Plugchoice platform from the moment the steel backplate is on the wall.

Two Pro is built around a single practical question we hear over and over from installers: how do you add more charging capacity to a parking location without making the install harder to expand, service or hand off? Our answer is one 44 kW power inlet, two Type 2 sockets at up to 22 kW each, and a hardware design that assumes the next charger is already on its way.

Built for the parking jobs installers actually see

For most parking sites, the hard part is not bolting another box to the wall. The hard part is keeping the install clean, compliant and serviceable as the site grows. Cables need to be routed properly. Protection has to remain accessible. Metering needs to support billing under the EU Measuring Instruments Directive (MID). And when the next phase rolls in, the installer should not have to redesign the site from scratch.

Two Pro is designed for exactly that kind of work. Each of its two sockets has its own MID Class B certified meter, so the data your customer sees on an invoice is the data a tax authority or employer reimbursement scheme will actually accept. The charger ships with two built-in 40 A Type C RCBOs and built-in 6 mA DC RCM residual current protection (the same protection class that IEC 61851-1 and IEC 62752 treat as the baseline for AC charging today).

The RCBOs are resettable through a lateral service window on the side of the unit. In practice that means basic intervention โ€” re-arming after a transient trip, doing a quick visual check โ€” does not require opening the full charger or unmounting it from the wall.

For wholesalers that's the angle: this is not a consumer wallbox stretched into a parking product. It's hardware designed around parking infrastructure from the start, which makes it easier to position with professional installer partners.

Scaling without making the site messy

Two Pro is built to be daisy-chained for larger installations. Up to six Two Pro chargers can be chained from a single AC feed, and up to fifteen chargers can be linked on one Ethernet bus. The steel backplate supports AC IN, AC OUT and Ethernet wiring underneath, after which the front body clicks into place over the top.

That matters on real sites. A charger that's easy to mount once is useful. A charger that stays easy to expand, swap or service after the fifth or tenth unit is where installers start to feel the difference โ€” and where dynamic load balancing through Plugchoice goes from a feature on a slide to something you actually depend on at the end of a working day.

The terminals accept up to 25 mmยฒ solid-core conductors with M40 cable glands, which gives room for the heavier professional supply runs typical of commercial parking deployments. Connectivity is built in as standard:

  • 4G LTE with a 10-year SIM included
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
  • RJ45 Ethernet with daisy-chain support

In other words, if the customer's Wi-Fi goes down โ€” or never existed โ€” the chargers stay online and the web portal keeps reporting. We learned a lot about that with our home product Volt Time One; Two Pro takes the same connectivity-first approach into the professional segment alongside our commercial ENO one for business.

Prepared for public and semi-public charging

Two Pro includes an AFIR touch display showing real-time charging status, dynamic QR codes and pricing information. For public and semi-public locations that helps installers and their customers prepare for the obligations now coming into force across the EU under the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (Regulation 2023/1804), which from 8 January 2026 requires ad-hoc payment, real-time price information and machine-readable session data on newly installed publicly accessible AC charging points.

The charger also includes:

  • RFID access control with classic Mifare support
  • OCPP 1.6j for connection to any compliant charge point management system
  • IK10 impact resistance (EN 62262) for outdoor and public use

In practice that combination means Two Pro can be used for managed access, connected to a preferred charge point management platform, and installed in places where the hardware has to handle daily public use โ€” without quietly degrading the rest of your installation's protection or billing chain. (If you're new to that side of the stack, our older write-up on charging points with a backoffice covers the basics.)

Powered by Plugchoice

Every Two Pro ships pre-paired to Plugchoice, Volt Time's software platform for smart charging, energy management and operational control. That gives installers and their customers access to a feature set that would otherwise need to be assembled from three or four different vendors:

  • Dynamic load balancing โ€” share a fixed grid connection across multiple chargers and the rest of the building's load
  • Dynamic tariff management โ€” charge on live energy prices instead of a flat per-kWh fee
  • OCPP proxy functionality โ€” keep Two Pro talking to the CPMS of choice while still exposing the data Plugchoice needs to operate
  • Logging, access control and automatic error recovery โ€” through the Plugchoice app and web portal

This is also where Two Pro fits into the wider Volt Time approach. The hardware is the launch, but the charger is not meant to stand alone. It connects into a broader setup where installers can combine hardware, software, power management and backend flexibility without locking their customers into one narrow route โ€” the same philosophy behind ENO one for business and Volt Time One on the residential side.

Installers can go straight from unboxing to first session in about 15 minutes on a typical Two Pro install, including the Plugchoice handshake โ€” we've measured it at our partners. Step-by-step notes live in our installation help.

Available now

Volt Time | Two Pro is available now across Europe for installers and wholesalers. The product is aimed at professional parking installations where dual-socket charging, compliant metering, built-in protection and scalable deployment are part of the brief from day one.
